The Long Narrow Garden

Several years later, Kay still raves about her garden. This is the classic, long, narrow garden you get with early 20th century terraces. The crumbling fences were replaced with good quality trellis-topped fences to afford Kay the feeling of privacy without losing light. The dismal, cracked, concrete path was dug up and replaced with a stone circle which has both created a focal point and split the garden into sections making it appear wider and shorter. There are small, easy to maintain beds with year-round colour. The depressing shed has been replaced with an off-the-peg summer house, made individual with a classy vintage-style coat of paint. Kay now has a little seated haven at each end of the garden to catch both the morning and the evening sun.

Kay enjoying her garden

“Charlotte transformed my sad, scruffy patch of grass into a beautiful garden with her inspired design. It is now my pride and joy.”
